Ingredients :
1. Ladies finger ---- 1/4 kg
2. Tamarind ---- small pebble size
3. Tomato ---- 1 nos ( chopped )
4. Big onion ---- 1 nos
5. Red chilli powder ---- 1 teaspoon
6. coriander powder ---- 1/2 teaspoon
7. Turmeric powder ---- 1/4 teaspoon
8. salt to taste
9. grated coconut ---- 2 tablespoons
10. jeera ---- 1/4 teaspoon
11. jack fruit seed ---- 10 to 15 nos ( boiled and chopped )
12. oil ---- 1/2 teaspoon
13. mustard & curry leaves ---- few
Preparation Method
1. Wash ladies finger and wipe it dry , otherwise it will be sticky. Cut it into rounds.
2. Grind jeera & coconuts to a paste .
3. Soak tamarind in water.
4. Boil and then chop the jackfruit seeds.
5. Heat oil in a kadai and add mustard & curry leaves , then add onions & ladies fingers and fry this in low flame till the stickyness disappears.
6. Then add chopped tomatoes , salt to taste , red chilli powder , coriander powder , turmeric powder, tamarind water , boiled jack fruit seed and grinded coconut paste and add 1/4 cup of water to it and close the kadai with a lid and cook till the ladies finger boils.
7. When the curry is thick in consistency then put- off the flame and transfer it to a bowl .
Serve it as a side dish for the meals.
