Ingredients
1. Boiled & mashed potatoes ---- 2 cups
2. sugar ---- 2 cups
3. ghee ---- 1/2 cup
4. orange color powder ---- 1 pinch
5. cashewnuts & Raisins ---- each 10 pieces
6. cardamon powder ---- a pinch
preparation method
1. Heat a heavy bottom kadai and add 1/4 cup of water and 2 cups of sugar and bring this to boil to 1 string consistency.
2. Then add a pinch of color powder and then add the boiled & mashed potatoes and stir it for 15 minutes.
3. Meanwhile poast the cashewnuts & raisins in a separate pan using a tablespoon of ghee. Then add this roasted nuts to the halwa and stir in medium heat for another 10 minutes.
4. Add the ghee little by little while stirring .
5. when the halwa starts leaving the sides then transfer it to a bowl or transfer to a greased tray and then after cooling slice into cubes.
