Ingredients
1. channa dhal ---- 1 cup
2. grated coconut ---- 1/2 cup
3. jaggery ---- 1 cup
4. ghee ---- 2 tablespoons
5. salt a pinch
preparation method
1. soak the channadhal for 2 to 3 hours.
2. Then wash and drain the excess water . then grind the dhal into a coarse paste , do not add water , add a pinch of salt to it.
3. Then boil a idly vessel and make idles of this batter. Then cool the idles and scramble them with your hands.
4. Then heat a pan and add the powdered jaggery with very less water ( below 1/4 cup of water) and bring it to boil.
5. Then add the channa dhal mixture , cardamon powder, ghee and coconut and mix well, until it reaches the texture of puttu.
serve hot !1
