Ingredients for masala stuffing
1 . chopped mixed vegetables ---- 1 1/2 cup
2 . big onions ---- 1 no ( chop it )
3. garam masala powder ---- 1/2 teaspoon
4. coriander powder ---- 1/4 teaspoon
5 salt to taste
6. ginger grated ---- 1/2 teaspoon
7. oil ---- 1/2 teaspoon
8. coriander leaves
for dough
1. maida all purpose flour ---- 2 cups
2. oil ---- 1 tablespoon
3. salt to taste
4. baking powder ---- 1 pinch
preparation method
1. Take a bowl and add maida , salt , baking powder and add water to make a smooth dough.
2. Then add 1 tablespoon of oil and mix altogether and keep this aside for 1/2 hour.
3. Meanwhile prepare the masala.. heat a pan with a spoon of oil and add chopped onions and saute for 2 minutes , then add the chopped vegetables , salt , red chilli powder , coriander powder and saute for 10 minutes in very low flame. Then add garam masala powder and chopped coriander leaves and put-off the flame.
4. Now again give a gentle knead to the dough and divide into medium sized balls and roll into a thin circle and cut it into 2 equal parts with knife. Apply water in the straight edge.
5. Now make a cone by joining along the straight edges by over lapping them, then stuff the cone with 3/4 tablespoon of prepared veg masala.
6. close the cone and seal it properly . Repeat until you finish all the dought.
7. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the samosas till light golden brown.
Now enjoy this hot samosa with sauce.
Tips
* until you deep fry the samosas keep it covered to avoid drying.
