Ingredients :
1. manga Ingee ---- 250 grams
2. Red chilli powder ---- 4 tablespoons
3. salt to taste
4. Jaggery ---- 1 tablespoon
5. Tamarind ---- 1 big lemon size ball
6. oil ---- 5 to 6 tablespoons
7. Asofotida powder ---- 1/4 teaspoon
8. mustard & urad dhal ---- 1 teaspoon
Preparation Method
1. Wash & peel the manga Ingee and grind it to a paste without adding water to it.
2. Soak tamarind in water and make a pulp out of it.
3. Now heat a kadai with oil , then add mustard & urad dhal, Asofotida , then add red chilli powder , grinded manga Ingee ,salt to taste and finally add tamarind water and stir it in very low flame for 15 to 20 minutes.
4. Then add 1 tablespoon of jaggery and stir for another 2 to 3 minutes and then put-off the flame.
5. Cool this and store in air tight container by storing this in refrigeration you can use it for 3 months.
TIPS
* Spread this thooku in chapattis and roll it for lunch box.
* Spread this thooku in bread and make it as sandwich for lunch box.
