Ingredients :
1. Boiled channa dhal ---- 1 cup
2. potato ---- 2 nos chopped
3. Tomato ---- 1 no
4. Big onions ---- 2 nos ( chopped )
5. grated coconut ---- 3 tablespoons
6. Red chilli powder ---- 1 tablespoon
7. turmeric powder ---- 1/2 teaspoon
8. coriander powder ---- 1/2 tablespoon
9. mustard & jeera ---- few
10. oil ---- 1/2 teaspoon
11. channa masala powder ---- 1/2 teaspoon
12. curry leaves ---- few
13. salt to taste
Preparation Method
1. Grind grated coconuts and 1 tablespoon of boiled channa to a smooth paste and keep it aside.
2. Now heat a pan with 1/2 teaspoon of oil and add mustard , jeera curry leaves , chopped onions and tomatoes & fry for a while.
3. Then add chopped potatoes and fry for a minute.
4. Then add boiled channa dhal , red chilli powder , coriander powder , turmeric powder , channa masala powder , salt to taste and add 1 cup of water and allow to cook till the raw smell vanish.
5. Then add grinded paste and add 1 cup of water and allow this to boil till you need a required thickening consistency and then put-off the flame.
* Serve this for Roti's , naan, parota , puri , chapatti, Iddly , dosa or even with white Rice.
