Radishes contain vitamin c , zinc , B- complex vitamins and phosphorus, all these are effective in treating skin disorders such as rashes and dry skin . Mashed raw radish can be used as a soothing and refreshing face pack.
Dieters can benefit from radishes , as they are low in calories , cholesterol and fat . They contain a lot of roughage and contain a lot of water , because of its roughage content. It is used in treating piles and constipation . Radish juice is good for digestive system.
Radish is a natural diuretica. This makes them effective in preventing and fighting urinary tract infections .
Ingredients :
1. Raddish ---- 1 big size
2. green chillies ---- 2 nos
3. curd ---- 1 big size cup
4. Big onion ---- 1 nos
5. salt to taste
6. oil ---- 1/2 teaspoon
7. mustard & urad dhal ---- few
8. curry leaves & coriander leaves ---- few
Preparation Method
1. Immerse the raddish in hot water for 15 to 20 mintues ( by this process the raw flavour of raddish disappears )
2. Then grate the raddish
3. Chop the big onion.
4. Grind the green chillies as paste .
5. Now heat a pan add 1/4 teaspoon of oil in it and fry the grated raddish in very low flame till the raddish cooks . Then put -off the flame . Then allow this for cool.
6. Now heat a kadai and add 1/4 teaspoon of oil to it , and then add mustard & urad dhal , curry leaves and when it starts splittering then add onions and fry this for half cook and then put- off the flame.
7. Now take a cup of curd add salt to taste , fried onions , fried raddish , chopped coriander leaves , grinded green chilli paste and mix altogether well.
You can serve this Raddish Raitha for Rotis , chappaties and any variety Rice , pulavo , vegetable Biriyani or with Tomato Rice.
