Ingredients
1. Tomatoes ---- 4 nos
2. fresh coriander ---- 1/2 cup
3. mint leaves ---- 10 to 15 leaves
4. cumin seeds ---- 1/4 teaspoon
5. urad dhal ---- 1/2 teaspoon
6. green chillies ---- 5 nos
7. salt to taste
8. oil ---- 1 teaspoon
9. mustard ---- few
10. Asofotida ---- 1 pinch
11. curry leaves
preparation method
1. Heat a pan with 1/2 teaspoon of oil and add cumin seeds and let them to brown. Then add urad dhal and allow chillies and saute for 1 minute.
2. In the same pan add 1/2teaspoon of oil and add chopped tomatoes and saute till the rawness of tomato disappears. Then remove it and cool it.
3. Then grind the cumin urad dhal , green chillies , mint & coriander leaves , then add tomatoes and salt and grind it to a coarse paste adding little water.
4. Then temper it with mustard , urad dhal , asofotida , dry red chillies and curry leaves.
serve this with idlies and dosas.
