paneer pakora is a tasty appetizer and a perfect tea time snack in this rainy days.
Ingredients
1. paneer cubes ---- 20 cubes
2. curd ---- 2 tablespoons
3. cornflour ---- 4 tablespoons
4. ginger paste ---- 1 teaspoon
5. salt to taste
6. oil for frying
For Batter
1. Besan flour / gram flour ---- 1/2 cup
2. cumin seeds ---- 1/2 teaspoon
3. salt to taste
4. Red chilli powder ---- 1/2 teaspoon
5. cooking soda ---- a pinch
preparation method
1. Take a bowl and add curd , corn flour , salt , ginger , red chilli powder , and mix well. Then add the paneer cubes and marinate it and keep it aside for 1/2 hour.
2. For batter mix besan flour , cumin seeds , salt and cooking soda and add little water and make it as a thick batter consistency of a paste.
3. Now heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat , dip the marinated paneer slices in the batter one at a time and slowly drop into the frying pan.
4. Fry the pakoras in small batches. The pakoras will take about 4 to 5 minutes to cook.
5. Turn them occasionally and fry the pakoras until both sides are golden brown.
serve this mouth watering pakoras with any dip as sweet and sour Tamarind chutney etc.
