Ingredients
1. Basmathi Rice ---- 1 cup
2. capsicum chopped ---- 1 cup
3. mustard seeds ---- few
4. garam masala powder ---- 1 teaspoon
5. big onion ---- 1 no ( chop it )
6. oil ---- 1 teaspoon
7. salt to taste
Ingredients for masala powder
1. urad dhal ---- 2 teaspoons
2. coriander seeds ---- 1 teaspoon
3. jeera ---- 1 teaspoon
4. Red chillis ---- 3 nos
preparation method
1. wash the basmathi rice for 10 minutes , then drain the water and cook the rice in such a way that each grains are separate. Then keep it aside .
2. chop the capsicums into small strips.
3. Now heat oil in a pan and fry urad dhal , coriander seeds , jeera and red chillies then cool it and powder this ingredients and keep it aside.
4. Now heat oil in a pan and add mustard , then add chopped onions and saute till it becomes light pink shade.
5. Then add the chopped capsicum, prepared masala powder , garam masala powder and salt to taste. saute this on high flames till the capsicums are slightly cooked. Do not over cook as the capsicums should be crispy and not soggy.
6. Now mix the cooked rice gently and finally garnish with coriander leaves. serve this with Raita or chips or with any gravy.
