Ingredients
1. kollu / horse gram ---- 1 cup ( boiled)
2. dry red chillies ---- 3 nos
3. dry coriander seeds ---- 1 tablespoon
4. basumathi rice cooked ---- 3 cups
5. ghee / oil ---- 2 tablespoons
6. coriander leaves ---- few
7. big onion ---- 1 nos ( chopped )
8. grated coconut ---- 2 tablespoon
9. mustard ---- few
10. lemon juice ---- 1 teaspoon
Preparation method
1. Heat a pan with a drop of oil and then roast the red chillies & coriander seeds , then cool it and grind it us a raw powder.
2. Then grind half of the boiled kollu with out adding any water to it ( as a raw powder )
3. Now heat a pan with a tablespoon of oil and add mustard , curry leaves and chopped onions and fry for a minute , then add the chilli & coriander seeds powder and saute for a minute.
4. Then add the grinded kollu powder and grated coconut and add salt to taste and saute for another minute.
5. Then add the boiled kollu and saute a minute, then add lemon juice, finally add the cooked rice and saute for 1 to 2 minutes. Then add a teaspoon of ghee and mix it and then put-off the flame and transfer it to a cassrole.
Serve with any Raitas and Appalams & chips.
* This is best to reduce our body cholstrol level.
* consuming horse gram weekly twice is good for our health.
