Beetroot Kara Curry
Beetroot is such a versatile dish, that it can
be twisted into so many recipes. It is healthy for children as it is
rich in iron . It is a very nutritious dish which can be serve to
every one.
Ingredients :
1. Beet root ---- 1/4 kg
2. garlic ---- 3 pods
3. Red chilli powder ---- 1/2 teaspoon
4. salt to taste
5. grated coconut ---- 2 tablespoons
6. Aniseeds ---- 1/2 teaspoon
7. oil ---- 1/4 teaspoon
8. mustard & urad dhal ---- few
9. curry leaves ---- few
Preparation Method
1. Grind grated coconut , aniseeds and garlic to a smooth paste.
2. Now heat a pan with 1/4 teaspoon of oil to it and add mustard , urad dhal
&; curry leaves.
3. Then add chopped beet roots , salt to taste , red chilli powder , grinded coconut paste
and add little water to it and close the pan with a lid and cook till
it cooks soft.
4. Wait till the water evaporate from the curry. When it is dry then put-off
the flame.
Serve this for sambar rice , Rasam rice or curd rice.
