I found wild mushrooms in our backyard. These mushrooms have unique flavour, texture and their pleasant feel to the tongue. In villages in these rainy season mushrooms are found in more , early mornings we go in search of this wild mushrooms. Almost every day we get these mushrooms for 2 more months.
The mushrooms have zero cholesterol fats and very low carbohydrates. The fiber and certain enzymes in them also help lower cholesterol level. moreover the high protein content in mushrooms helps burn cholesterol when they are digested . . mushrooms are very effective in preventing cancer.
Ingredients:
1. natural mushroom ---- 4 to 5 ( Big size )
2. Big onion ---- 1 nos ( chopped )
3. Tomato puree ---- 4 nos of tomato puree
4. kasturi methi ---- 1 tablespoon
5. Red chilli powder ---- 1 teaspoon
6. corn flour ---- 1 tablespoon
7. garam masala powder ---- 1 pinch
8. coriander powder ---- 1/2 teaspoon
9. salt to taste
10. oil ---- 1 teaspoon
Preparation Method
1. Heat a pan add oil to it , then add garam masala powder , kasturi methi , chopped onions and chopped mushrooms and saute for 4 to 5 minutes.
2. Then add red chilli powder , coriander powder , salt to taste and 1/2 cup of water and boil it for 2 minutes.
3. Then add the tomato puree and add 1/2 cup of water and boil it for 3 to 4 minutes.
4. Finally mix cornflour with 1/4 cup of water and add it to the gravy and bring it to boil. when the gravy is thick enough then put-off the flame.
Serve this for chappaties , Roti,s , naan , kulcha's , Iddly or with dosa.
Tips
* preparing tomato puree
Boil whole tomato with little water in a pan for 3 to 4 minutes, then cool it and peel the skin of tomatoes and grind it in a mixer jar ( no need to add water while grinding ), now the tomato puree is ready to use.
