Ingredients:
1. Ponnakkani keerai
or
any type of spinach ---- 1 small bunch
2. green chillies ---- 5 nos
3. grated coconut ---- 2 tablespoons
4. jeera ---- 1/4 teaspoon
5. broken channa dhal ---- 4 tablespoons
6. mustard ---- few
7. onion chopped ---- 1 tablespoon
8. oil ---- 1/4 teaspoon
9. salt to taste
Preparation Method
1. Boil the broken channa dhal in a pressure cooker for 1 whisle and keep it aside.
2. Clean , wash and chop the keerai.
3. grind green chillies , grated coconut , jeera and salt to taste to a paste.
4. Now open the lid of the pressure cooker & along with the boiled dhal, add the chopped keerai , grinded paste and season it with mustard & chopped onions and close the lid of the pressure cooker and cook for 1 whistle.
5. Now the keerai kuttu is ready to serve.
Serve this kuttu for plain Rice or as a side dish for Rice . or as a side dish for chappatis and Rotis.
