Ingredients
1. Wheat rava ---- 1 cup
2. Grated coconut ---- 2 tablespoons
3. Salt to taste
4. Oil ---- 1 teaspoon
5. Mustard ---- 1 teaspoon
6. Urad dhal ---- 1 teaspoon
7. Chopped curry leaves & coriander leaves
To make granules :
1. Broken channa dhal ---- 4 tablespoons
2. Thuvar dhal ---- 4 tablespoons
3. Dry red chillies ---- 2 nos
4. Pepper ---- 1 teaspoon
5. Jeera ---- 1 teaspoon
Preparation Method
1. To make granuals , dry roast all ingredients and then by using the mixer jar grind as big size dry granuals and keep it separatly .
2. Heat a kadai , add rava and fry it for just 1 mintue , than add the powded dry granuals and fry for another 1 mintue and keep it separatly .
3. Then reheat a kadai and add oil to it , then add mustard , urad dhal , curry leaves , 2 1/2 cups of water and wait till the water boils , then add salt , grated coconuts , then roasted rava mixer and close the kadai with a lid and cook this in slow flame till the rava cooks soft .
4. Then cool it and make this as kollukattai and arrange it in Iddly plates.
5. Now heat a Idlly vessel and boil this kollukattai till it cooks. ( approximatly 10 mintues )
6. Serve this kollukattai with coriander chutney. or mint chutney .
