Ingredients:
1. chicken ---- 1/2 kg
2. Small onions ---- 1 cup
3. Garlic ---- 5 nos
4. tamarind juice ----1 teaspoon
5. turmeric powder ----1/4 teaspoon
6. red chilli powder ----3 teaspoons
7. coriander powder ---- 2teaspoons
8. salt to taste
9. oil ----1 teaspoon
10. ginger & garlic paste ---- 1/2 teaspoon
11. jeera ---- 1teaspoon
12. thick coconut milk or ----1cup
finely grinded coconut(3/4cup)
13. cloves ----2nos
14. cinnamon ---- 1 small bit
15. cardamom ---- 1 nos
16. curry leaves few
Preparation Method
1. Heat a kadai add 1 drop of oil to it and fry the onions with jeera, then cool it and grind this to a smooth paste.
2. Now heat a pressure cooker add chicken pieces, grinded onion paste , ginger & garlic paste , turmeric powder , coriander powder, red chilli powder , salt to taste ,water 6 cups and pressure cook it for 1 whistle.
3. Now open the lid of the pressure cooker and again heat it , and then add tamarind paste , then add coconut milk or grinded coconut paste.
4. Then separately heat another pan add oil then cardamom, cinnamom, cloves , and garlic chopped and curry leaves and put off the flame, and now add this to the chicken kulambu and boil it till the required thickness.
