Ingredients:
1. Urad dhal ---- 2 cups
2. Cooking soda ---- 1 pinch
3. Coconut pieces ---- 2 tablespoons
4. Chopped Green Chillies ---- 4 nos
5. Asofotida ---- 1 pinch
6. Salt to taste
7. Oil for frying
8. Curry leaves chopped ---- few
Preparation Method
1. Soak urad dhal in water for about 2 hours.
2. Afterwards wash it and grind to a finepaste.
3. Add chopped green chillies , coconut bits , cooking soda, salt to taste , asofotida , curry leaves , and mix well . Add 1 tablespoon of very hot oil to the dough.
4. Now heat oil in a kadai and make small lemon size balls of the uradmix and deepfry them in oil.
5. Let them become golden brown in colour, then take out from the oil. Drain the oil and serve with coconut chutney.
