Ingredients
1 Varagu rice --- 3cups
2 Urad dhal --- 1cup
3 Fenugreek seeds --- 1tablespoon
4 Salt to taste
Preparation method
1 Wash and soak the varagu rice and fenugreek seeds together for 3 hours.
2 Wash and soak urad dhal for 1 hour.
3 Then grind the batter to idly batter consistency and mix along with salt and allow to ferment for 7 to 8 hours.
4 Then grease the idly plate and pour in a ladle of the batter and steam for 8 minutes.
Serve hot with any chutney of your choice.
