Ingredients :
1. Bitter gourd ---- 1 big ( chopped as ring shape )
2. small onion ---- 10 nos ( chopped )
3. garlic ---- 3 flakes ( chopped )
4. Turmeric powder ---- 1/4 teaspoon
5. sambar powder ---- 1 teaspoon
6. Amchur powder ---- 1/2 teaspoon
7. bengal gram flour ---- 1 tablespoon
8. jaggery ---- 1 tablespoon
9. salt to taste
10. roasted peanut roughly choped ---- 1 tablespoon
11. cumin seeds & asofotida ---- few
12. tamarind ---- small pebble size ball
13. oil ---- 1 teaspoon
Preparation Method
1. Heat 1 teaspoon of oil and add cumin seeds & asofotida powder.
2. Then add onions & garlic , bitter gourd , salt to taste and saute for 2 to 3 minutes.
3. Then add tamarind water & cover it with a lid and cook till it cooks well.
4. Then add all the powders and mix well and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
5. Finally add jaggery & bengal gram flour and if required add extra amchur powder & if the curry is dry then put-off the flame.
Serve this as a side dish for Rice.
