Curry Leaves Kulambu

Ingredients :
1.   curry leaves                                                ---- 1 cup
2.   Tamarind                                                    ---- small  lemon  size ball
3.    Thuvar dhal                                               ---- 2 teaspoons
4.    Black pepper                                            ---- 1 teaspoon
5.    dry red chillies                                          ---- 2 nos
6.    jaggery                                                     ---- 1 teaspoon
7.    mustard                                                    ---- few
8.    Asofotida                                                 ---- 1/4 teaspoon
9.    oil                                                            ---- 1 teaspoon
10.  salt to taste

Preparation  Method

1.   Heat  a  kadai  add  1/2 teaspoon  of  oil  to it,   then  add  thuvardhal ,  red chillies,   black pepper   and  roast  them.
2.   Along  with  the  roasted  ingredients  add  curry  leaves ,   tamarind ,  salt  and  jaggery    then  grind  them  to  a  paste.
3.    Then  heat  a  kadai ,  add  1/2 teaspoon  of  oil  to  it   and  add  mustard ,  asofotida ,   and  grinded  paste  and  add  2 cups  of  water  and  allow  them  to  boil.
4.    When  it  is  thick  enough  then  put-off  the  flame.
Serve   this  with  plain  Rice  or  Iddiappam   or  dosa.
