Andhra style mutton gravy



Ingredients 



  • Mutton                                    ---- 1/2 kg
  • Big  onions                              ---- 4 nos
  • Ginger & garlic paste            ---- 1 teaspoon
  •  Fresh pepper powder            ---- 1/2 teaspoon
  • Turmeric  powder                   ---- 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chilli powder                   ---- 2 teaspoons
  • coriander seeds                       ---- 2 teaspoons
  • poppy seeds                             ---- 2 teaspoons
  • Grated  coconut                      ---- 4 to 5 tablespoons
  • Jeera                                        ---- 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala powder          ---- 1/2 teaspoon
  • Bay leaves                               ---- 2
  • oil                                             ---- 2 tablespoons                        
  • coriander leaves / curry leaves few
  • Salt to taste  





Preparation Method

Clean & Wash the mutton

Chop the onions

Dry roast the coriander  seeds and along with the roasted coriander  seeds add poppy seeds, jeera  & grated coconuts and grind to a fine paste.

Now heat a pressure pan and add 2 tablespoons of oil and add garam  masala powder, bay leaves , chopped  onions and curry leaves. Saute till it turns light brown.


Then add the mutton pieces and ginger garlic paste and saute for 5 minutes.

Then add turmeric powder, pepper powder, Red chilly powder and salt to taste and saute for 5 more minutes.

Then add the grinder-ed paste, few coriander leaves  and add 2 cups of water and pressure cook for 1 whistle.

Serve this Mutton gravy for plain Rice / Pulav / Roti's / chapatti/ Dosa of your choice.
