Ingredients
1 Boiled & mashed potatoes ----11/2cup
2 Bread slice ---- 5 slice
3 Poha ---- 1/2 cup
4 Roasted peanuts ---- 2tablespoons
5 Lemon juice ----1 tablespoon
6 Red chilli powder ----1 teaspoon
7 Chaat masala ----1 / 2 teaspoon
8 Finely chopped green chilli ---- 1
9 Finely chopped coriander leaves ---- 1 tablespoon
10 Salt to taste
11 Oil for frying
Preparation method
1 Wash and soak the poha in water for 10 minutes. Let's start with the outer cover. Cut the corners of the bread slice into small piece and add it to a mixing bowl.
2 Add the mashed potatoes to the mixing bowl along with salt and red chilli powder and mix well with your hand and knead it to a smooth and stiff dough. Don't add too much salt as we are going to add it to our filling also. Now our outer cover dough is ready.
3 Take the roasted peanuts in a mixer and give couple of pulse to make it a coarse power.
4 Drain the water from poha and squeeze the poha to drain all water completely. Take the poha in a mixing bowl along with roasted peanut . Chopped green chillies , chat masala, red chilli powder , salt and coriander leaves and mix well.
5 Add lemon juice and mix once again. Our stuffing is now ready. Make small balls out of the stuffing.
6 Now grease your palm and fingers with oil and take lemon sized balls to of the outer dough and roll it and press it in the middle and then make like a bowl.
7 Add one stuffing ball and gently close the dough. Just wet your hands with water and seal the kachori nicely so that the filling doesn't come out in the oil.
8 Now deep fry till golden brown.
Serve with ketchup or green chutney.
