Spicy yogurt moongdhal

Ingrdients

1.  whole  green grams                                              ---- 1/2 cup
2.  salt to taste
3.  curd                                                                    ---- 1 1/2 cup
4.  gramflour  /  besan                                               ---- 2 tablespoons
5.  Turmeric powder                                                 ---- 1/4 teaspoon
6.  ginger paste                                                         ---- 1 teaspoon
7.  green  chilli paste                                                 ---- 1 teaspoon
8.  sugar                                                                  ---- 1 teaspoon
9.  oil                                                                      ---- 1/2 teaspoon
10.  Asafoetida                                                         ---- a pinch
11.  mustard seeds                                                    ---- 1/2 teaspoon
12.  cumin seeds                                                       ---- 1/2 teaspoon
13.  cinnamon &  cloves                                           ---- each 1 bit
14.  fenugreek  seeds                                               ---- 1/4 teaspoon
15.  curry leaves

preparation  method

1.  wash  and  boil  the  moongdhal  ,  adding  little  salt ,  till  it  cooks.

2.   Then  take  a  bowl  and  add  curd  ,  salt  ,  gram  flour ,  turmeric  powder,  ginger  paste  ,  green  chilli  paste   and  mix  well.    Then  add  sugar  and  1  cup  of  water   and  mix  everything  again.

3.   Heat  oil  in  a  pan  and  add  mustard  jeera  ,  fenugreek  seeds  ,  cinnamon  ,  clove  ,  curry  leaves  and  then  add  the  curd  mixture  and  cook  till  the  gram  flour  gets  cooked.

4.   Then  add  the  cooked   moongdhal  and  cook  for  5  more  minutes  on  medium  heat  .

serve  hot !
