Ingredients
1. green chillies ---- 25 to 30 nos
2. small onions ---- 25 to 30 nos
3. garlic ---- 10 flakes
4. turmeric powder ---- 1/4 teaspoon
5. Tamarind ---- small lemon size
6. salt to taste
7. Asofotida ---- 1/4 teaspoon
8. mustard & urad dhal ---- 1 teaspoon
9. oil ---- 3 tablespoons
10. jaggery ---- 1 tablespoons
preparation methods
1. Heat a kadai with oil and add the mustard & urad dhal , asofotida.
2. Then add chopped green chillies and saute for 2 minutes.
3. Then add small onions and garlic and saute for 2 to 3 minutes.
4. Then add tamarind pulp , turmeric powder and salt to taste and allow this to boil till you need the thicken consistency.
5. finally add powdered jaggery and allow to boil for 1 more minute. Now cool it and store in air tight container and refrigerate it and use till one month.
serve this with sambar Rice , curd Rice or it even goes well with Iddly or dosa !
