Ingredients :
1. Pattani parrupu (or ) ---- 1 cup
broken channa dhal
2. dry red chillies ---- 2 nos
3. green chillies ---- 1 nos
4. Any type of greens ---- 1 cup ( chopped )
5. Big onion ---- 1 no
6. ginger ---- 1/4 inch size
7. salt to taste
8. oil for deep frying
9. Aniseeds ---- 1 teaspoon
Preparation Method
1. Soak the dhal in water for 1 hour. Then wash it and drain the water completely from it.
2. Along with the soaked dhal add , salt to taste , anniseeds , red chillies and grind it roughly
with out adding any water to it.
3. Then along with the grinded dhal add chopped onions , chopped green chillies & chopped greens, mix altogether well and make it as round balls the flatten it into vadas.
4. Now heat oil for deep frying, when smoke comes out of it then slow down the flame to medium flame and deep fry the vadas till light golden brown in color.
Serve this crispy keera vadas with hot coffee or tea or along with the meals.
Note
* when you use pattani paruppu for vada you get extra crispyness to it.
* It is available in all stores. more over it looks same as pacha kadalai parrupu only thing the size will be little bigger then this.
