Palak puri is simple deep fried Indian bread made of wheat flour, spinach puree and little salt. children who hate eating leafy vegetables palak puri is an amazing and ideal dish. It is healthy and nutritious dish when compare to regular puri.
Ingredients :
1. Multi grains wheat flour ---- 3 cups
2. Spinach ( palak leaves ) ---- 1/2 bunch
3. green chillies ----8 nos
4. Jeera ---- 1 teaspoon
5. salt to taste
6. oil for deep frying
Preparation Method
1. Clean and wash spinach leaves. Then drain the water .
2. Heat a pan add green chillies , jeera , spinach and 2 tablespoon of water and allow to cook the spinach. When it cooks soft then put-off the flame and add little salt to that and grind it to a smooth paste.
3. Now take a bowl and add wheat flour , grinded spinach , little salt to taste and mix the dough well and prepare puri - dough.
4. Make small balls with the dough and make puris.
5. In a pan heat oil and fry one puri by another and prepare palak puris.
Now palak puris are ready to serve. serve with Raithas or with veg - gravies.
