Ingredients :
1. Prawns ---- 200 grams
2. egg plant ---- 1 nos ( chopped )
3. small onion chopped ---- 10 nos
4. ginger & garlic paste ---- 1/2 teaspoon
5. dry red chilli powder ---- 2 teaspoons
6. Turmeric powder ---- 1/4 teaspoon
7. coriander powder ---- 1/2 teaspoon
8. Thick coconut milk ---- 1 cup
9. chopped tomatoes ---- 2 nos
10. corn flour ---- 1 teaspoon
11. oil ---- 1 teaspoon
12. salt to taste
13. curry leaves few
14. mustard ---- 1/4 teaspoon
Preparation Method
1. Clean and wash the prawns.
2. Heat a kadai add 1 teaspoon of oil to it , then add mustard , curry leaves ,
chopped onions , prawns , ginger & garlic paste , chilli powder , turmeric powder ,
coriander powder , chopped tomatoes , salt to taste and stir this very low
flame for 5 mintues.
3. Then add cubed egg plant pieces and 1 cup of water and close the
kadai with a lid , and cook for 10 minutes.
4. Then add coconut milk and boil for 3 minutes.
5. Mix the corn flour with little water and add this liquid with prawns
and boil for another 2 minutes.
6. When the gravy is thick in consistency then put-off the flame.
This gravy goes good with plain white Rice and Dosa.
