Chilli chicken must be most popular dish that comes to mind when thinking chinese food. It goes great with fried Rice & chowmein noodles.
Ingredients :
1. Bone less chicken pieces ---- 250 grams
2. Capsicum cubed ---- 6 nos ( 6 pieces )
3. corn flour ---- 2 tablespoons
4. salt to taste
5. Black pepper ---- 1/2 teaspoon
6. Egg ---- 1 no
7. Dark soya sauce ---- 1 1/2 teaspoon
8. oil for deep fry
9. Garlic chopped ---- 1 teaspoon
10. Red chilli sauce ---- 1 teaspoon
11. vinegar ---- 1 teaspoon
12. Red chilli powder ---- 1/2 teaspoon
Preparation Method
1. Take a bowl add 1 teaspoon of cornflour , salt to taste , black pepper powder , egg white , dark soy sauce 1 teaspoon , red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon , vinegar 1 teaspoon , and mix well, then add washed chicken pieces and marinate it well and keep this for 1 hour.
2. Then after a hour deep fry the chicken pieces in oil and keep them aside.
3. Now before serving heat a wok and add 1/2 teaspoon of oil then add chopped garlic , capsicum, soy sauce 1/2 teaspoon , red chilli sauce 1 teaspoon , corn flour 1 tablespoon , and sprinkle little water to it and stir them for few seconds.
4. Then add the fried chicken pieces and stir for 1 minute and put- off the flame. Finally garnish with chopped coriander leaves and chopped onion and serve immediately.
Serve this as a starter before serving meals.
