Ingredients:
1. Vazhai thandu ---- 1 nos ( 1/2 hand length )
2. green chillies ---- 4 nos
3. grated coconut ---- 4 tablespoons
4. roasted & broken channa dhal ---- 2 tablespoons
( pootukadalai )
5. Tamarind ---- a small bit
6. Salt to taste
Preparation Method
1. Cut vazhai Thandu into small pieces and soak this in butter milk.
2. Take a mixer jar and add all the remaining ingredients and grind to a smooth paste adding very little water to it.
3. Now heat a pan and add the chopped vazhai thandu pieces and sprinkle little water to it and a pinch of salt and close it with a lid and cook in very low flame till it boils.
4. Then add the grinded paste to the boiling vazhai thandu and stir for just 1 to 2 minute and put off the flame.
From regular kootu , poorial & gravy these tastes something new. You can serve this for chapattis or for rice.
