simple mutton gravy



Ingredients

mutton                                             ---- 1/2kg
small onions                                    ---- 1/2 cup
garlic                                               ---- 5 to 6 flakes
Red chillies                                     ---- 5 no
Dry coriander seeds                        ---- 1 tablespoon
Turmeric powder                            ---- 1/4 teaspoon
salt to taste
Tomatoes                                        ---- 2 small size
garam masala powder                    ----1/4teaspoon
jeera                                             ----1 teaspoon ( crush lightly)
oil                                                 ----1 1/2 teaspoon
curry leaves & coriander leaves

preparation Method

Heat  a pan with 1/2 tablespoon of oil and roast the Red  chillies, dry coriander seeds and keep it aside.

Then roast the garlic , onions & tomatoes till it turns brown , then allow this to cool and then grind altogether   as a smooth paste.

Now heat a pressure pan and add 1 tablespoon of oil then add few chopped onions and garlic and fry it till it turns brown color.

Then add garam masala, curshed jeera, curry leaves and washed mutton and sauté this for 6 to 10 minutes.

Then add salt to taste, turmeric powder, grinded onion , tomato paste and add 1 cup of water and pressure cook for 2 to 3 whistles.

Then finally garnish with coriander leaves.

serve  this  simple mutton gravy  with plain steamed  Rice , dosa , Rottis of your choice.
