We all know soy chunk is highly nutritious , and it comes from defatted soya bean flour . It has lots of health benefits , It serves as a excellent source of protein , vitamins , iron & calcium. It is especially best for the growth of growing children . Soy chunk is a soft fibrous vegetable globules resembling soft meat in texture. Using this soya chunk we can prepare cutlets , biryani , pulao , snacks and so on ........... It"s very simple yet tasty and very easy to cook . So Enjoy by cooking soy chunks.
Ingredients:
1. Soya chunk ---- 1 cup
2. Tomatoes ---- 3 nos ( chopped )
3. Big onions ---- 2 nos ( chopped )
4. channa masala powder ---- 1/4 teaspoon
5. Jeera powder ---- 1/4 teaspoon
6. Red chilli powder ---- 1 teaspoon
7. Turmeric powder ---- 1/4 teaspoon
8. curry leaves & coriander leaves ---- few
9. oil ---- 1 teaspoon
10. salt to taste
Preparation Method
1. Soak the soya chunk in hot water for 15 mintues. Then wash in water for 3 to 4 times, then squeeze them draining all water from it .
2. By using the mixer jar make as big size granuals of soya sunk . ( just single press )
3. Now heat a pan with oil , then add curry leaves & onions and fry till golden brown.
4. Then add chopped tomatoes , salt to taste , turmeric powder , red chilli powder and stir this till the tomatoes cook .
5. Then add soya granuals , jeera powder & channa masala powder and stir for 2 to 3 mintues .
6. Then finally put - off the flame and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
Never tried cooking soya this way. I gotta try this.. :) It can be had as side dish I suppose?
