Gonguraku Chicken


Ingredients:

1.     Chicken                                           ---- 1/2 kg

2.     Big onion                                          ---- 2 nos

3.     Tomato                                            ---- 2 nos

4.     Green chillies                                    ---- 8 nos

 5.      Turmeric powder                           ---- 1/4 teaspoon

6.      Oil                                                 ---- 2 teaspoons

7.      Salt to taste

8.      Curd                                             ---- 2 tablespoons

9.      Ginger & Garlic paste                   ---- 1 teaspoon

10.     Garam masala powder                ---- 1/4 teaspoon

11.     Garlic                                         ---- 10 nos

12.     Gongurakku ( pulucha keerai)     ---- 2 cup
           leaves
Preparation Method

1.    Cut   onion &  tomatoes.

2.    Heat   a   pressure  cooker     add     chicken ,   salt to taste ,   turmeric powder ,    ginger& garlic paste ,  and  curd ,  then  pressure cook   for  1  whistle.
3.     Heat   a    pan       add     little    oil    to   it     and   add   garlic   and    gongurakku leaves    and    green chillies    and    fry    this    in    low flame     for  nearly   10  minutes.

4.    Now    using   the   mixer   grinder    grind   the   above   fried   gongurakku.

5.    Finally     heat    a     kadai      add     oil     to   it ,     then   add    garam masala powder ,    chopped onions , chopped tomatoes ,   and   fry   for   2 minutes.
6.    Then    add    the     grinded  gongurakku paste ,     and     boiled chicken    and    cook   this   in   low flame    for   about  10  to  15  minutes.
7.    When   this   gravy    is   thick   in    consistency    then   put off     the   flame.

Now  you  can  serve  this  gongurakku chicken   with   Roti , paratha,   chapatti   or   with  rice. This Andra recipe  is  very  familiar  in   my kitchen , my  daughters  favorite dish
