Broccoli Biriyani




Ingredients

 Broccoli  florets                                  --- 2 cups
 Basmathi Rice                                    --- 2 cups
 sliced onions                                       --- 1 cup
 crushed garlic                                      --- 2 tablespoons
 chopped coriander & mint                  --- 4 to 5 tablespoons
 lemon juice                                         --- 1 teaspoon
 curd                                                     --- 2 tablespoons
 Red chilli powder                               --- 1 teaspoon
 Green chillies                                     --- 3 no
Tomatoes                                           --- 1 (chop it)
 capsicum                                           --- 1(chop it)
 Fried bread pieces                            --- 1 cup
 salt to taste
 oil   & ghee mixed together             --- 2 tablespoon
 cardamom                                         --- 2 piece
 clove                                                --- 2 piece
 cinnamon                                         --- 2 piece


preparation  method

 soak basmati Rice at least for 30 minutes.

 Heat a bowl with water and cook the basmathi Rice till half boiled.Then remove the excess water and let it cool for some time.

 Meanwhile heat another vessel with oil and add cinnamon , clove & cardamom, then add crushed garlic , then add the sliced onions and sauté for 2 minutes.

 Then add Broccoli florets  and chopped mint & coriander leaves ,green chillies, chopped tomatoes & little salt and sauté in low flame for 2 minutes.

 Then add 2 tablespoons of curd , Red chilli powder and sauté for 1 to 2 minutes.

  Then add salt , chopped capsicum and mix well. Then add the cooked Rice and mix evenly  and cover and cook for 2 minutes.

 Then add ghee, lemon juice , cubed  fried bread pieces and mix evenly then  cover and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.

serve  hot  with any Raitha, chips and fry .

This is one of the healthy veggie with Indian style Biriyani.
