Ingredients :
1. Thuvardhal ---- 50 grams
2. Roasted bengalgram dhal ---- 2 tablespoons
3. salt to taste
4. Red chillies ---- 5 or 6 nos
5. jeera ---- 1/4 teaspoon
6. Asofotida ---- 1/4 teaspoon
7. curry leaves ---- few
Preparation Method
1. Dry roast all the ingredients separately in a pan for some time till each one turns golden brown colour.
2. Fry salt and add it to the other ingredients.
3. Grind all these in a mixer to a fine powder.
4. The tasty paruppu podi is ready to serve with cooked Rice.
* usually paruppu podi mixed with Rice and little ghee is eaten first during lunch . Paruppu podi sadham actually stimulates the appetite. It is a healthy start of a meal.
