Ingredients :
1. Grated coconut ---- 1 teacup
2. dry red chillies ---- 3 nos
3. broken channa dhal ---- 1 1/2 tablespoon
4. Big onion ---- 1 nos
5. Tomatoes ---- 2 nos ( chopped )
6. curry leaves ---- few
7. oil ---- 1/4 teaspoon
8. salt to taste
For Tempering
1. oil ---- 1/4 teaspoon
2. mustard & urad dhal ---- 1/2 teaspoon
3. curry leaves ---- few
Preparation Method
1. Heat a pan with a drop of oil , and add channa dhal and fry till golden brown , then add chopped onion , chillies , curry leaves and fry for 1 to 2 minute.
2. Then add the chopped tomatoes , and fry for 1 to 2 minute.
3. Then add grated coconut and fry for 2 to 3 minute, then cool them all and add salt to taste.
4. Then grind all the fried ingredients altogether to a smooth paste by using a mixer grinder.
5. Then season it with mustard & urad dhal.
Fried coconut Tomato chutney is ready to serve . This is very yummy chutney for dosa's & Iddlies.
