okra chicken curry



Ingredients


1. okra                                                             ---- 1/4 kg

2. chicken                                                       ---- 1/2 kg
3. ginger & garlic paste                                  ---- 1 teaspoon
4. salt to taste
5. Red chilli powder                                       ---- 1 1/2 teaspoon
6. oil                                                                ---- 1 teaspoon
7. spring onions                                              ---- 2 no ( finely chopped)
8. Tomatoes                                                    ---- 2 no ( chopped)
9.  curd                                                            ---- 4 tablespoons

preparation method

 wash and drain the excess  water from the chicken   ,  Then   Marinate the chicken pieces with ginger  & garlic paste , salt , red chilli powder and curd  and keep this aside for 2 hours.

 Wash the okra  and dry it. Then  chop the okra into half  and keep it aside.

 Heat a kadai with a spoon of oil and fry the chopped onion slices , then add the  chopped okra pieces and saute for 10 mintues.

 Then add the marinated chicken pieces and cook in very high flame for 10 minutes.

 Then add the chopped tomatoes and cook in medium  flame  and close the kadai with a lid.  cook this for 20  minutes  or till the  chicken  cooks softly.

 Now transfer this to a serving bowl.

serve this with any  pulavu  , Rice  or Roti's   of your choice.
