Rava Iddli



Ingredients

1.  Rava                                         ---    1cup
2.  Sour curd                                  ---     1/2cup
3.  Eno fruit salt plain                       ---     1 tablespoon
4.  Lemon juice                               ---    1/2 tablespoon
5.  Finely chopped ginger               ---    1 teaspoon
6.  Chopped coriander leaves         ---    2tablespoons
7.  Salt  to taste
8.  Mustard & urad dhal                 ---   1 tablespoon
10. Cashews                                  ---   1 tablespoon
11. Oil                                            ---  1 tablespoon
12. Grated carrots                          ---  1 tablespoon
13. Coconut grated                         ---  1 tablespoon


Preparation  method

1.   Heat  a  kadai  and  add  oil  ,  splutter  mustard  , uraddhal , Channa dhal , ginger , Green chillies ,  cashew.

2.  Then  after   cooling   add   sour  curd  , enough  water , lemon  juice  , salt  and  mix  every thing  well.  The  consistency  should  be  like  our  iddli  batter  consistency.   Light  and  loose  not  too  thick.

3.  Heat  the  idlli  vessel   with  water  and  let  it  be  ready  for  steaming  and  grease  the  ldli  plates  with  oil.

4.  Now  add  the   Eno  salt  to  the  batter  into  the  iddli  moulds  and  steam  this  for  10 minutes.

5.  Now  spongy  and  soft  rava  iddlies  are  ready  to  serve.   Now  garnish  with  grated  coconut  and  carrots.

Serve  with  any  kara  chutney  of  your  choice. 



Tips

Eno  salt   is  very important  ,  so  don't  omit  it  ,  and  should  be  a  active  one. 

Add  water  and  curd  in   equal  proportion   and  consistency  of  the    batter  should  be  lose  ,  not  too  thick  or  else  the  iddli es  will   come  out  dry.
