Ingredients:
1. soya chunk ---- 1 cup
2. green chillies ---- 2 nos
3. Big onions ---- 2 nos
4. ginger & garlic paste ---- 1/2 teaspoon
5. Amjoor powder ---- 1/4 teaspoon
6. Jeera powder ---- 1/4 teaspoon
7. Red chilli powder ---- 1 teaspoon
8. turmeric powder ---- 1/4 teaspoon
9. salt to taste
10. mint / coriander leaves few
11. maida flour ---- 1 tablespoon
12. bread crumbs ---- 2 to 3 tablespoons
13. oil
14. potatoes boiled & mashed ---- 1/2 cup
15. greens ( any variety ) ---- 1/4 cup ( chopped )
Preparation Method
1. Soak the soya chunks in hot water for 15 minutes , then wash them for 3 to 4 times and squeeze the excess water from it .
2. Using the mixer jar make small size granuals of soya chunks. ( just 1 press only )
3. Heat a pan with 1/2 teaspoon of oil to it , then fry ginger & garlic paste , onions , chopped green chillies & greens , then add soya granuals , chilli powder , Amjoor powder , turmeric powder , mint & coriander leaves and fry for just 3 to 4 minutes.
4. Then add the mashed boiled potatoes to the fried ingredients and stir for just 1 minute and put off the flame .
5. Now take this soya mixture and shape them to desire shape.
6. In a bowl add maida and water and make a paste .
7. Dip these soya patties into maida paste and finally dip in bread crumbs ( make sure it is coated well )
8. Heat a pan and pour 1 to 2 tablespoon of oil and place the soya patties on it and roast both the side until they turn brown color.
Now serve hot with ketchup / hot sauce or with chutney .
