Dhal With Greens

Ingredients :

1.      Thuvar dhal                                                 ---- 100 grams

2.      spinach                                                        ---- 1 cup ( chopped )

3.      green chillies                                                ---- 7 nos ( chopped )

4.      Jeera                                                           ---- 1 teaspoon

5.     small onions                                                  ---- 6 nos ( chopped )

6.      Asofotida                                                    ---- a pinch

7.       mustard &  urad dhal                                   ---- few

8.        oil                                                              ---- 1/2 teaspoon

9.       turmeric powder                                          ---- 1/2 teaspoon


Preparation  Method

1.        Wash     and  then  boil  the  thuvar dhal       along   with    green chillies  &    jeera     adding   little   water    and   turmeric   powder    and     pressure cook   it   for   a  whisle.


2.        Then   heat   a  pan   with   1/2  teaspoon   of  oil  in  it   and   add   mustard &  urad dhal ,   asofotida ,   chopped  onions   and  spinach    and   fry    this    in   very   low-flame.

3.       Then   add   the   boiled    thuvar dhal     to   it   and    allow   to  boil   for    1  to  2  minute.     Then    put-off   the  flame.

*        Serve   this   dhal   with   rice   or   roti.
